A software engineer and white hat hacker by background, Angus now serves as a Senior Manager in EY’s Regulatory Compliance Technology practice in New York. While in this role he has worked across a number of aspects of regulatory compliance, over the last four years he has specialized in anti-money laundering remediations at top tier banks following regulatory consent orders and other action letters. Angus has worked on and led teams that have established industry leading AML practices in these banks, often requiring the development of customized technology and applications to address tactical and strategic compliance needs. In recent months, Angus has established EY’s cross-competency Digital Finance task force, which is researching how blockchain and consensus technologies may assist our financial services clients. Prof. Eli Ben-Sasson

Jonathan Levin

Meni Rosenfeld is a mathematics M.Sc. graduate of the Weizmann Institute of Science, specializing in machine learning. Paul Snow has been writing compilers, interpreters, and Rules Engines for use in graphics, embedded systems, and web applications for over 30 years. He designed and executed the Passing Bitcoin Around the World events. This event demonstrated the ability to pass value many times around the world for pennies and in minutes. As an Organizer of the Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency meetup group, he organized the Mini Bitcoin Conference in Austin Series, which has grown into the Texas Bitcoin Conference. Peter Todd

Prof. Samuel Itzikowitz

Computer Science Department COMAS, Israel; Founding Dean

Prof. Itzikowitz received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Applied Mathematics from Tel Aviv University, Israel, in 1972 and 1976, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, in 1983. From 1983 to 1986 he was the head of the Oceanography and Underwater Acoustics Department of the Israeli Navy. He was a faculty member of the Computer Science Department of Tel Aviv University, Israel from 1986 to 1992. In 1987 he was awarded the 3 years ESHKOL scholarship by the Israeli National Council for Research and Development. He is the founding and former Dean of the School of Computer Science, and the head of the R&D Institute of Intelligent Video Systems at COMAS. Prof. Itzikowitz is the author of refereed scientific publications in various areas: underwater acoustics, numerical analysis, mathematical modeling, signal processing, parallel algorithms, and digital video systems. Prof. Itzikowitz, Navy Commander (retired), has a long-standing record as a project officer on long-term international military R&D projects in signal processing and mathematical modeling. In 2014, Prof. Itzikowitz conducted an academic Bitcoin seminar, first in Israel, at COMAS School of Computer Science.

Yoshi Goto is a mining expert employed by BitMain, one of the leading bitcoin mining hardware manufacturer. Yoshi has tremendous experience with international sales, large hands-on hardware deployments and consulting underperforming mining farms to bring them back to life, as he has been involved with BitMain since its debut. He is an early stage Bitcoin Enthusiast. The recent focus of his work has been to advise clients on the Bitcoin Mining Equipment from an operational perspective.

Yuval Shalhevet

Yuval Shalheveth’s practice focuses on commercial, banking and real estate law, representing clients in a broad variety of matters including real estate, commercial, banking and financing transactions as well as in telecommunication, PFI projects and tenders. Yuval represents banks on various matters. Among other things, Yuval consults on matters relating to ISDA agreements and derivatives; assists on regulatory matters; assisted banks with the implementation of Basel II and the review of the legal requirements thereof; represents an Israeli bank in proceedings with various Lehman Brothers companies; represented the controlling shareholders of one of Israel’s largest banks in the acquisition of the said bank. Yuval represents bidders and offerors in various PFI/BOT tenders and assists concessionaires in the performance of such projects, including the representation of the operator of the first privately operated prison in Israel both during the tender process and during the performance of the project. Yuval also represented parties in many public PFI tenders (e.g. Police Training Center, Ashalim Solar Power Plants, Governmental Centers, Ashdod Hospital, State’s Archive, Hadassah Biotechnology Park and others).

Yuval also assists various private clients in the planning and management of their family wealth. Yuval joined the firm in 1999 and became a partner in 2006. Yuval received his LLB from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 1996. In 2008, Yuval received his LL.M from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, in a joint program with Georgetown University, Washington DC.
